This was one of the most unfair and biased comparison videos i have ever seen😂 first, the back seat comparison was off from the maverick to the colorad seeing how i am 6ft1 and can sit in the back seat with a lot more leg room then that in the back seat, 2nd was the price where the LT price is around 37-38,500 max, and then the vibration in the seat is plain out false ,

This model is the second vehicle that has had its center screen turn off mid drive. Meaning u can control anything and it needs to be in the dealership for a hard reset. Kinda hard when you’re on a road trip for 14 hours while on vacation. And u have no idea what your speed is or how to control and adjust anything.

I can remember when these were brand new. They were very, very fancy. When they were new they were very quiet and sparkly. The tail lights were shaped unique and the elegant vertical grille made it a luxury car especially with the Cadillac air shocks. Riviera was on the same frame as the Cadillac Eldorado so that’s why it looked so sharp. Congratulations and really enjoy that car while you have it.

Recently bought one cheap when the engine in my Hyundai grenaded. 😢 Cheap, reliable, easy to service, spares are easy to source adequate power & torque. Being a VX Berlina I have so many options. If I want more power L67 (supercharged 3.8) or LS1 ( alloy 5.7 V8) Can be swapped for not much coin. The L36 in mine is NOT one to modify. But as a daily they last a Looooong time with low down torque for moving loads. Relaxing to drive on long hauls. About the only things I would change is the diff centre to a recon 3.46 lsd. An auto refresh and a set of pacemaker headers s/h as it already has a free flow exhaust with diy cold air induction & plenum + manifold spacers. To go any further would be a waste of time & money.

In my early years in life, I worked with my dad in a transmission shop; we used to rebuild automatic transmissions and a few manual transmissions daily. What I can say is that, when debris was in a transmission, it would not run for 20k miles. In one case, due to error, one tranny ran for less than 20 miles due to foreign materials. These engines are failing at random mileages which certainly goes against what I have seen; the "debris" claim is certainly something I was not expecting. I did have a 22 Tundra which I got rid of for the obvious reasons; therefore, I can speak as a former Toyota customer and not just someone ranting online for no reason. That truck had plenty issues; shaking at stop areas, it would lag to take off, cosmetic issues inside (rattles, etc), loose nuts that held the axles together, and weird knocking/rattle coming from the transmission (it was resolved with an update). Anyway, the debris claim does seem unlikely and I agree that it is more of a design issue. Went back to a V8 designed for towing and have no regrets (no extra bells and whistles).
